New Kids on the Block!

Alright so they’re adults who’ve been around for a while, but the wines are new and we’re all just kids at heart so let’s stick with the metaphor because, you guessed it… They’ve got the right stuff!

(And you’ll love the way they turn you on!!)

Okay, I’m done with the 80’s references, and perhaps the French New Wave would have been a better parallel anyway, but since we’re all here now let’s skip ahead and meet the artisans:

Yonne, Burgundy

A rising star represents a new generation of vignerons while seeking to revitalize a once-vibrant winegrowing region near her hometown in the northernmost reaches of Burgundy.

Muscadet, Loire

In the heart of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, Alain and Christian are the third generation to look after this small farm in the village of Le Landreau.

Certified Organic since 2015, these passionate vignerons take great care in the vineyard as well as the winery with extended lees aging in concrete, and without added sulfur.

Saint Joseph, Northern Rhone

Jean converted his grandfather’s vineyard to biodynamics in 1997, harvesting all grapes by hand a fermenting with their native yeasts. Each cuvee is site-specific and is bottled unfiltered and with the bare minimum of sulfur in order to showcase the purity of each plot’s unique terroir.

Fleurie, Beaujolais

Château de Grand Pré is a family estate located in the communes of Fleurie and Morgon. Romain is the third generation to tend these vines first purchased by Louis and Renee Bertrand in the early 1970s. This passionate family of vignerons tend their vines with the utmost respect for the land. The winemaking begins with 15-20 days of carbonic maceration and complete their fermentation and aging without any chemical additions.

Brand & Co.

Ergersheim, Alsace

Phillipe Brand is already well known for his avant garde expressions of his family’s estate vineyards, and this year he’s back with a second label. This new project showcases fruit purchased from his friends vineyards, expressed through the lens of his vibrant winemaking style.
